The upper layers of the atmosphere of Nijsasa Anshar churn with fire at all times of the day and "night." The sky always burns, and always looks rather ominous. At night the brightness of the flames diminishes, but it still gives off light. There are clouds that move through the lower atmosphere and give rain to the lands beneath. If there are any heavenly bodies such as a sun or moon, the mortals know nothing of them, and in fact the idea of them would be alien to the inhabitants of the world.
When any humanoid dies, the divine fire within consumes their flesh, leaving a small pile of ashes. This divine fire returns to the heavens where whence it came. This burning does not harm any equipment, and it does not light other things on fire. It is similar to the idea of spontaneous combustion, except there is no damage done to surrounding equipment or buildings with this process.
The Divine Tongue (Actually Sumerian)
All of the places should be named in the Divine Tongue, as well as many other things in the setting such as names.
1) Nijsasa Anshar [Burning Heaven] - The material world.
2) Sharjissu [PLANE OF SHADOW] - A world of darkness, smoke, and the souls of some of the dead.
3) Sharlamhu [PLANE OF THE NETHERWORLD] - This world is the home of the Gulanamea [DESTROY EVERYTHING] that wish to annihilate all of creation. The Gulanamea are the enemies of the gods as well as all mortals, and are much like demons in other settings, but more powerful. Some of the wise even believe that the Gulanamea were older gods from before the world was made that were defeated by the current ruling gods.
4) Sharjeshbar [PLANE OF FIRE] - A world of light, burning, and the souls of some of the dead.
